Roosevelt Computer Lab

The lab offers 31 Apple eMac computers, all connected to a network printer. Each computer has these software programs for lab classes and individual student use:

Safari (for Internet browsing)

Claris Works

Claris Home Page

HyperStudio

Kid Pix Studio

Microsoft Powerpoint

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

Type-to-Learn

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Grammar and Spelling

And many other Educational Programs

Classes visit the Computer Lab either two (grades K-3) or 4(grades 4-5) times a month. Students receive group instruction and are able to complete student projects or Internet research.                

Note:  Roosevelt is currently in the process of trying to establish a dedicated primary grade level computer lab. This new lab would enable all grade levels to visit the computer lab for at least 1 hour per week.
